The most colorful community tradition of the year is back. Wallenpaupack Area School District and ARC are teaming up once again to host the 2026 Color Run & Walk! This is a family‑friendly celebration of movement, music, and vibrant color that brings our community together in the brightest way possible. All event proceeds stay local and support the ARC Dyberry Day Camp, which services children with disabilities from our local communities each summer.

Wallenpaupack Area School District extends its sincere appreciation to Honesdale National Bank (HNB) for their generous $5,000 donation to the WAVE Fund. This meaningful contribution is helping to fund a portion of the cost associated with sending five Wallenpaupack Area High School students to the SkillsUSA State Leadership Competition, which will take place this April in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, February 26th, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan unveiled federal support for the development of the Wayne/Pike Career and Technical Center (CTC), marking a major investment in workforce training, student opportunity, and regional economic growth.

The Veterans’ Memorial Park and Education Center Society in Matamoras has announced a special initiative to honor women veterans of Pike County and the surrounding areas. A new Women Veterans Memorial will be dedicated on June 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the organization is preparing a commemorative booklet recognizing the women who have served our nation.

The School Board is proud to recognize three outstanding seniors whose dedication, leadership, and achievements have set a remarkable example for their peers. Victoria Latek, Kristian Nistad, and Nicholas Graham have excelled academically while contributing significantly to athletics, the arts, and community service.
