The WASD Welcome Back Tour made its way across the district as Dr. Gunuskey and Dr. Starnes visited buildings to thank our faculty and staff for their dedication and commitment to students.
Following the kickoff at South Elementary, the tour continued with stops at North Intermediate, Wallenpaupack Area Middle School, North Primary, the Hawley Center, Wallenpaupack Area High School, and the District Office.
Along the way, staff members enjoyed a small treat and, more importantly, the opportunity to connect and celebrate the start of another exciting school year.
These visits were a simple way to recognize the hard work that takes place behind the scenes long before students walk through our doors. From classrooms and offices to transportation, food service, maintenance, technology, and support services, every member of the WASD team plays an important role in helping students succeed.
Thank you to all of our staff for your energy, passion, and commitment to excellence. Here's to a fantastic 2026-27 school year filled with learning, growth, and Wallenpaupack pride!
