As a way to kick off the 25-26 school year, the Wallenpaupack School Board took time at the September 8th meeting to recognize the accomplishments of three outstanding members of the class of 2026. Please read more to learn about the accomplishments of Genevieve Neenan, Samuel Urevich, and Benjamin Scholl.

As a way to kick off the 25-26 school year, the Wallenpaupack School Board took time at the September 8th meeting to recognize the accomplishments of three outstanding members of the class of 2026.

Genevieve Neenan has been a member of the PMEA All State Choir and the NArME All Eastern Choir. She is a letterman for the Varsity Girls' Cross Country and Soccer teams and serves as Drum Major for the Marching Band. She has been a member of National Honor Society, the Scholastic Team, the Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands, in addition to the Wind Ensemble. She serves as Vice President and Section Leader of the Concert Choir, as well as Section Leader for Marching Band. She is a multi-year recipient of the Gold Award for Academic Excellence. After graduation, Genevieve plans to attend a four-year university to study business and music before pursuing a career in the music industry. 

Samuel Urevich has been a member of the National Honor Society, Executive Council, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), and the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists. He is an Emergency Medical Technician, a Student Ambassador, and HOSA President. Additionally, Samuel is a multi-year recipient of the Gold Award for Academic Excellence, a member of the Society of Torch and Laurel, and is in the process of publishing a solo research paper for Lumiere Research Scholar Program. After graduation, Samuel plans to obtain an undergraduate degree in Biology at Penn State before attending medical school with a goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. 

Benjamin Scholl serves as President of the Class of 2026. He is a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), National Honor Society, Cross Country, Track and Field, and the Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science and Aviation Club (WASA). Benjamin serves as FBLA's State President and has held multiple regional and state level positions during his tenure with the organization. Additional accolades include First-Place finishes at the State Leadership Conference for Digital Video Production and Public Service, and a Second-Place finish at the National Leadership Conference for Digital Video Production. He is also a Gold Award Recipient for Academic Excellence. Following graduation, Benjamin plans to attend a four-year business program, seek employment in the business industry, and pursue an MBA.
