We are proud to share the outstanding accomplishment of Jaedyn Allen, a fifth-grade student at Wallenpaupack South Elementary School. Jaedyn recently earned 1st place in the annual Veterans Day Essay Contest sponsored by American Legion Post 859.
When asked what winning this contest meant to him, Jaedyn said:
“This was important to me, because sometimes we can overlook the fact that veterans and military are the reasons we can do so many things we can do, or why we have so many of the things we have.”
Jaedyn is an active member of our school community and beyond. He plays football with the Wallenpaupack Jr. Bucks, basketball with Wallenpaupack Boys Biddy Basketball, and baseball with the Wallenpaupack Area Little League. He is also part of the school’s news team and is excited to begin electric guitar lessons soon.
We congratulate Jaedyn on his achievement and thank him for reminding us of the importance of honoring our veterans. His dedication and gratitude are an inspiration to us all!
