We are thrilled to announce that three recipes from Wallenpaupack Area School District’s Food Services team have been featured in the Breakfast Champions Cookbook as part of the 2025 Governor’s School Breakfast Challenge!
The Governor’s School Breakfast Challenge is a statewide initiative designed to increase participation in universal free breakfast programs and ensure that every student starts the day with a healthy, nutritious meal. Schools across Pennsylvania were invited to submit creative breakfast recipes that highlight local ingredients and promote balanced eating habits.
Our talented Food Services staff rose to the challenge and contributed three delicious recipes that are now showcased in the official cookbook:
- Buck Wake-Up Wrap – Wallenpaupack Area High School
- BLT Breakfast Rice Bowl – Wallenpaupack South Elementary
- Breakfast Bagel Bowl – Wallenpaupack Area Middle School
These recipes reflect our commitment to providing students with meals that are not only healthy but also appealing and fun. We are proud to be part of this important initiative that supports student success and well-being.
