On October 28th, more than twenty Child Care Career and Technical Education students from WAHS had the opportunity to visit Marywood University’s Education Department. This engaging experience allowed students to connect with faculty and current education majors, gaining valuable insight into the wide range of programs and certifications offered at Marywood.

During the visit, students learned about pathways to becoming educators, explored options for field placements, and discovered specialized certificates that can enhance their future careers. The day also included a guided campus tour, giving students a firsthand look at Marywood’s facilities and resources.

To make the experience even more interactive, Marywood students designed and led hands-on lessons, allowing WAHS students to participate in activities that reflect real-world teaching strategies. This collaborative event provided an inspiring glimpse into the possibilities within the field of education and helped students envision their next steps toward a rewarding career.
