The Wallenpaupack Area School District is proud to announce that Genevieve Neenan has been featured as WVIA’s Artist of the Week, an honor that celebrates exceptional high school artists across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Genevieve, a gifted vocalist, has distinguished herself not only through her talent but also through her dedication to musical excellence.
In her featured WVIA segment, Genevieve reflects on one of her most impressive achievements: qualifying for the PMEA All-State Choir in both 2024 and 2025. Earning a place in this elite ensemble represents one of the highest honors a student vocalist can achieve in Pennsylvania. Her selection in consecutive years speaks volumes about her commitment, her work ethic, and her passion for singing.
Genevieve shares that these All-State experiences were deeply meaningful, allowing her to grow as both a musician and a person while performing alongside the state’s top high school vocalists. Looking ahead, she plans to keep music an active part of her life beyond graduation—whether through college ensembles, community choirs, or future musical groups.
