What is the Transition Expo?

The Wayne County Collaborative Transition Expo brings together local providers, agencies, and experts who support successful transition to adulthood for students with disabilities. Join us for a morning of guest speakers and breakout sessions designed to help families navigate education, employment, independent living, and community services.

Who should attend?

  • Students (14–22) receiving Special Education Services
  • Parents/Guardians and caregivers
  • Educators, counselors, and transition coordinators are also welcome to attend and connect with providers.

What to expect

  • Guest Speakers: Hear practical guidance on planning for post‑secondary education, job readiness, and life skills.
  • Breakout Sessions: Explore topics like vocational training, community employment, self-advocacy, benefits counseling, and independent living resources.
  • Meet Local Providers: Discover services available right here in our community and get your questions answered.
