This year, the Wallenpaupack Area School District proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone: the 50th season of Wallenpaupack football!
As we honor five decades of dedication, teamwork, and school pride, we would like to recognize the players who helped lay the foundation for the program. Members of the original 1976 Wallenpaupack Area High School football team hold a special place in our history. Their commitment and pioneering spirit helped establish a tradition that has impacted generations of student-athletes and fans.
To commemorate this golden anniversary, we invite members of the 1976 team to join us for a special on-field recognition during our home football game on October 16, 2026. This will be an opportunity to reconnect with former teammates, celebrate your contributions to Wallenpaupack athletics, and be recognized by the entire Buckhorn community.
If you were a member of the 1976 team, or if you know someone who was, please contact Angelica Ragusa at ragusaan@wallenpaupack.org by September 30, 2026.
We look forward to celebrating the men who started it all and helped build the proud tradition of Wallenpaupack football.
