WAHS Seniors Shadow Local Veterinarian at Highland Veterinary Clinic

Two Wallenpaupack Area High School seniors had the opportunity to explore careers in veterinary medicine during a job‑shadowing experience on January 14 at the Highland Veterinary Clinic in Honesdale. Seniors Gabrielle Hieber and Anthony Lin spent the day learning alongside Dr. Heather Dein, gaining firsthand insight into the daily work of a veterinarian.

Pike County to Honor Women Veterans at Special June Ceremony

The Veterans’ Memorial Park and Education Center Society in Matamoras has announced a special initiative to honor women veterans of Pike County and the surrounding areas. A new Women Veterans Memorial will be dedicated on June 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the organization is preparing a commemorative booklet recognizing the women who have served our nation.
