The Wallenpaupack Area School District Health and Wellness Program facilitates the healthy growth and development of our district children of school age. In Wallenpaupack, we address our children's health and wellness needs with a comprehensive approach that includes health screening, physical activity programs, nutrition and education.

Mandated Health Screening Services

Growth Screening Program	A growth screening letter will be sent home to all parents of students in Grades K-12. This will include the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the Body Mass Percentile which are used as guidelines to help assess whether a person may be overweight or underweight.
Vision Screening	Vision Screening is completed for all students in Grades K-12. This screening is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye examination by an eye care specialist. If your child fails this screening, a referral will be mailed home.
Hearing Screening	Hearing screening is completed for students in Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 7, and 11. This screening is not a substitute for an audiology examination by your health care provider. If you child fails this screening, a referral will be mailed home.
