SPECIAL EDUCATION
BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS - .5 credit
Grades 9,10,11,12
This course covers Word, Excel, and Powerpoint from the Microsoft Office Suite and keyboarding skills. It provides the student with exposure to the material presented in Computer Applications but is taught at a slower pace with smaller assignments allowing the student to fully grasp the concepts before moving on to a higher-level computer course.
RESOURCE STUDY GROUP - .5 credit
Grades 9,10,11,12
Learning Support students will schedule this course for credit in place of study hall. Students will work on completing assignments for other scheduled courses including homework, projects, reports, journals, studying for upcoming tests, and taking tests and quizzes. A student may schedule this course once each semester.
ITINERANT LEARNING SUPPORT GROUP - .5 credit
Grades 9,10,11,12
Itinerant Learning Support students will schedule this course for credit in place of study hall. Students will work on completing assignments for other scheduled courses including homework, projects, reports, journals, studying for upcoming tests, and taking tests and quizzes. A student may schedule this course once each semester.
CREATIVE ARTS - 1 credit
Grades 9,10,11,12
This course is designed for students who are interested in developing their creative expression in the arts. Students will work on both visual and performing arts projects that will develop social interaction as well as therapeutic artistic skills.
SPECIAL EDUCATION VO TECH - 1 credit
Grades 9,10,11,12
This course offers selected students the opportunity to learn basic skills needed in the field of building construction.
