Vocational

Four vocational programs are available to students:  Allied Health, Building Construction, Food Service, and Power Mechanics.  In each of these programs, students learn skills related to their career goals in addition to acquiring academic skills.  Students may choose from either the academic or applied curriculum in the core areas of English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Applied

This program prepares the student for the workplace or to enter a two-year college.  It does not,  however, eliminate the possibility of completing a four-year college program.  The applied academic courses in English, Mathematics, and Science are all challenging courses taught in a "hands-on" manner emphasizing application rather than theory.  In addition to required Social Studies courses, students in this program complete their high school education by choosing from a wide variety of elective courses.

Tech Prep

Pennsylvania's Tech Prep program is organized in a fashion that allows for school districts and higher education institutions to work together to create a focused sequence of advanced technical and academic courses for students pursuing careers in a technical field.  Secondary and postsecondary administrators/faculty and employers have developed a seamless curriculum of courses, aiding a smooth transition for students from secondary to postsecondary schools, with no duplication of courses.  Completing a higher level of academic and technical preparation courses.  Tech Prep students graduate better educated and prepared for a higher-paying job.  At the present time, we have Tech Prep programs in Allied Health, Building Construction Trades, Food Service, Power Mechanics and Management Information Systems.
