ACCOUNTING I - 1 credit

Accounting is the system of recording and summarizing business and financial transactions in journals and ledgers and analyzing, verifying and reporting the results as financial statements. A student is given the opportunity to build the foundation for continued studies in the areas of Business Administration, Finance and Accounting. Accounting is recommended for students pursuing either two-or four-year programs in accounting or accounting related fields.
INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - 1 credit

How does a business operate? How is a business managed? What skills are needed to operate a successful business in our global economy? These topics and more are included in this course. Business Administration gives a student the foundation to become an effective member of the business community and also the foundation to continue the study of Business Administration on a post-secondary level.
BUSINESS LAW - 1 credit
Grades 10,11,12
Students in this course develop an understanding of business and personal law, legal procedures and remedies, rights and duties of citizens, consumers, workers and business owners, and apply principles to legal situations. Topics of study include ethics, juvenile justice, courtroom procedure and civil, criminal consumer, contract, sales, credit, employment, housing and business law.
