Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year!

On September 5th, 2012, more than 3,300 students will enter the doors of the Wallenpaupack Area School District to begin the 2012-13 school year. The students will take advantage of the numerous educational and extracurricular opportunities provided by the community and taxpayers of this district.

A new school year is exciting and full of challenges and opportunities. Our district excels because of the energy our students, staff, parents, and community members provide each and every day. I am pleased to report that the district made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2011-12 school year. The WASD is committed to do everything we can to ensure each student's academic and extracurricular success.

The district continues to be guided by our long standing mission - "to provide an educational environment that promotes excellence for all students, thereby developing life-long learners who are responsible citizens."
