What information is or is not available on Dashboard?
The Wallenpaupack Area School District provides – Dashboard – which creates an online community to be used by teachers, students and parents. Dashboard creates an environment where parents can view their child’s schedule, assignments and attendance from anywhere they have an Internet connection. Teachers will post assignments, test dates, quiz dates and announcements. Parents can then view this information to keep informed of the daily classroom activities of their son/daughter. Students also have their own login to help organize and monitor their assignments. Top of page
Who is participating?
All teachers have access to Dashboard. How often and how many assignments each teacher posts is dependent upon the student's grade level and subject area.
Who can have access to the information posted on Dashboard?
Only Wallenpaupack District students and their parents/guardians may have access to Dashboard. Top of page
How do students receive a login name and password?
Student logins and directions will be mailed home during September, 2007. If a student misplaces this information, he/she must request the login and password again from his/her homeroom/classroom teacher. Top of page
How do parents/guardians receive a login name and password?
If a parent/guardian would like to receive a parent/guardian login and password – complete the Request for Dashboard Login form. This form should be printed and either returned to your child’s homeroom teacher or mailed to the district office. Top of page
What is the difference between a student login and a parent login?
The parent login displays the same information as the student login. The only difference is if the parent has more than one child in the district, then the parent will see the calendars of all children at the same time. Top of page
What information is or is not available on Dashboard?
The following information is available:
- Announcements is used to post classroom notices
- Calendar is used to post homework, assignment, test and quiz dates
- Attendance displays attendance (updated nightly) – Important: This is not your child’s official attendance record
- Quarter grades shortly after each marking period (grades 6-12)
- Discipline and Special Education records will not be posted on Dashboard Top of page
