JV Claim Two Titles at Delaware Valley JV Tournament

Adam Newcomer dominated the competition Saturday to come away with a title at DV's JV Tournament

Adam Newcomer and James Coffman led the way for Wallenpaupack’s JV as they traveled to DV for an individual tournament.  Wallenpaupack brought 20 wrestlers to the event and placed 6 wrestlers in the top 4.

Wallenpaupack individual champions came at 160 and 171.  At 171 Adam Newcomer dominated the competition racking up 3 falls and tech fall as he continues to recoup from an early season injury.  James Coffman was also equal to the challenge as the Buckhorn senior strung together 4 wins to claim 160 title.  Look for both wrestlers to make a bid for the starting job later in the year as both are improving.

At 160 Wallenpaupack also placed Joe Fucci.  Fucci’s only loss came at the hands of Coffman in the quarterfinals.  Joe wrestled all the way back for 3rd going 5-1 on the day and knocking out another Wallenpaupck wrestler Brandon Kennedy who was having a good tournament as well. Brandon went 2-2 on the day.
