Fifth Grade Orientation at WAMS
Fifth grade students will travel to the Middle School the morning of May 9, 2013 for a band presentation demonstrating various instruments under the direction of Mrs. Kettering. On Tuesday, May 14, 2013 and Wednesday, May 15, 2013 the students will go to the Middle School for their orientation with Mr. Gunuskey, Middle School principal and the school counselors, Mrs. Morton and Mrs. Gravel. The evening of May 29, 2013, the Middle School staff will conduct an orientation for the parents and students from 6-7 pm in the cafetorium. Mrs. Kettering will be presenting a band information session from 7-8 pm in the gym for students interested in joining the band as a sixth grader in the fall.

Daisy Troop 50826 Collecting Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House
Daisy Troop 50826 will be collecting Pop Tabs until June to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton. This is a worthwhile project and it benefits a great cause. Please support our Daisy Troop in their efforts. For more information, please read this announcement.

Attendance
To report a student absent, between 7:30 and 8:30 am
Please include: your name, the student's name, the date and the reason for absence. If you have children in more than one building, each building must be contacted. For more information, please see Parent/Student Handbook.
Important - Please be aware that the official opening of school is 7:50 am with classes starting at 8:15 am. If you choose to drive your child to school, please try to drop your child off NO EARLIER than 7:50 am. Also, please be aware that children arriving after 8:00 am are marked tardy.

Student Pickups
If you are going to pick your child from school early for an appointment or at dismissal time, you must send a note with your child. If someone else is picking up your child, please indicate this in the dismissal note. In order to protect our students and your children, photo identification is required when picking up a student. |

Artsonia
The North Intermediate School will again be participating in Artsonia, the world's largest online art gallery. The web address is www.artsonia.com. Parents and grandparents may view their students' artwork and purchase items with their students' artwork printed on it, if desired. |
